Lindsey Hanson Design is a boutique, residential interior design and decorating firm located in North Andover, Massachusetts. With a love for restoring classic New England homes and a holistic, down to earth approach, we create livable, elevated spaces for modern families.
Every project begins with a discovery call and a mini in-home (or virtual) design session where we get to know each other and explore how you want your home to feel and live. If the project is a good fit, then the scope, timeline and fees are agreed upon before diving into the good stuff.

The concept phase starts by researching ideas and paring down inspiration to develop an overall vision for the space. This includes space planning and exploring materials, finishes and color. Selections are pulled from a variety of vendors, including local craftsmen and vintage sources, to create a unique design plan for your family.
Once the design is approved, orders are placed, tracked and followed up on. We work with your contractor and trades on site to manage all the details and help problem solve. Progress emails will keep you informed, but not overwhelmed by all the background administrative work that is happening during this phase.
When your space is ready we will coordinate the delivery and installation of all furnishings, lighting, artwork and window treatments. Warmth and detail is then layered in through thoughtfully collected accessories and family items to make the space truly feel like home.

I believe the most inviting and beautiful homes feel warm and relaxed — always rooted in history and incorporating a mix of old, new and handmade pieces. I find endless inspiration in nature and believe that our spaces should feel good and inspire us — functioning with a sense of ease and representing our personal stories in a thoughtfully collected way.
After getting my degree in marketing and art history I spent nearly a decade working for design firms in both Martha’s Vineyard and Boston. LHD was born in 2018 after my husband, Eric, and I started our family and renovated our first home together, a classic 1950’s cape.
We currently live in North Andover, Massachusetts, with our two young children and run both LHD and Eric’s home remodeling company, Hanson Renovations. Our work has been featured in Northshore Magazine, Boston Magazine and the book, Elements of Family Style.
